Elaboration / Rates
Kilgroe is Highly Qualified As:
Composer: Kilgroe has written, produced, and engraved original music for both live-music ensembles and produced digital medias. He has experience for writing in several styles and at all difficulty levels, from k-12 through professional. Do note that composition rates can vary widely depending on ensemble size, duration, and other factors of scope.
rates vary, starting at $450 for 3-5' chamber ensemble composition
Educator: Kilgroe has worked as a private music-lesson instructor, k-12 substitute teacher, and instrumental music coach. He is a music specialist, licensed as a substitute teacher, and working towards a classroom teaching license.
hourly rates vary
Sound Engineer: Kilgroe regularly runs sound systems for bands/ensembles gigging around the Denver area. He has also setup and run recording systems, producing high-end recorded songs/works. Do note that rates for audio engineering can vary depending on ensemble size, location, and other needs for the project.
rates vary, starting at $700 for live mix or $750 for recording (incl. equipment)
Drill Writer: Kilgroe has an extensive marching background, studied drill-writing independently, and has written for variety of marching ensembles of differing sizes. However, none of his drill has been performed yet, so get in on the ground floor while you can! Includes quality and satisfaction guarantees to promise your program's money does not go to waste. Also includes director-view charts, coordinate sheets for each marcher, links to reference videos, and 12-month access to a member-accessible drill app.
rates vary, starting at $600 for a HS-level show up to 8 minutes.
Kilgroe does the following as a side-business:
Photographer: Kilgroe has worked both on-staff and freelance as a concert photographer. While he is capable of providing headshots, he is specialized in and best suited for performance candids, and is familiar with concert etiquette across genres.
rate is firm $1,200 plus transit per concert of up to 3.5 hours; includes 100-300 hand-selected and lightly-colored edited photos. Headshots extra with varying rates.
Instrument Repair: Kilgroe is a certified brass repair technician, and can perform repair and modification work as requested. This is, however, a side business he does for fun, so he may have to refer clients out if he lacks tools or time to perform a repair.
